People who don't know about laser welding machines mistakenly believe that fiber laser welding machine and fiber transmission laser welding machine are the same machine, but the name is different. Foshan Fulan Laser tells you that these two are not the same machine, and the difference is still very big, mainly reflected in the following 4 points:
1. Different lasers
Fiber laser welding machine refers to the laser is pure fiber.
The laser of the optical fiber transmission laser welding machine is YAG, that is, the hard optical path, but the hard optical path is changed into a soft optical path through an optical fiber. In other words, the optical fiber transmission laser welding machine is essentially a YAG laser welding machine. But the transmission mode has changed from a hard optical path to a soft optical path.
2. Different laser output energy modes:
Fiber laser welding machine belongs to continuous laser welding, which mainly uses fiber laser or semiconductor laser to continuously heat the surface of the workpiece for welding.
Fiber transmission laser welding machine belongs to pulse laser welding. It is a kind of laser welding equipment that couples a high-energy laser beam into an optical fiber. After long-distance transmission, it is collimated into parallel light by a collimator, and then focused on the workpiece for welding. The biggest advantage of pulsed laser welding is that the overall temperature rise of the workpiece is small, the range of thermal influence is small, and the deformation of the workpiece is small.
3. The spot power density is different after laser focusing:
Fiber laser welding machine belongs to deep penetration welding (also called small hole welding).
The welding process of the optical fiber transmission laser welding machine belongs to heat conduction welding.
4. Different welding depth
Most fiber laser welding machines are high-power lasers, which are mainly used for spot welding and seam welding of metal materials with a thickness of 1mm or more.
The optical fiber transmission laser welding machine is mainly used for spot welding, butt welding, superposition welding, sealing welding, seam welding, penetration welding, etc. of thin-walled metal materials with a thickness of less than 1mm.
